Dakota K. Vaughn was born in Union City, TN. His father was an office worker in one of the largest factories of their town and his mother worked at the local school. Born and raised a Christian, Vaughn has always put his faith above all.
When Vaughn was 15 years old, his father passed away from cancer, forcing him to work odd-end jobs to support himself until he was old enough to begin a career in construction. In 2016, he moved to California where he would later marry his wife, who is an engineering student. They welcomed their first child into the world on October 2018.
Since moving to California, Vaughn has run a successful small business and made it his goal to expand as much as possible. He is now running a campaign for governor of California solely for the people. His driven and headstrong personality mixed with his dynamic political views is what will bring real change to this state.
A few issues Vaughn firmly believes in is to higher teacher wages, find a real solution to house our alarmingly increasing homeless population, cut funding and increase accountability to our police officers, abolish the three-strike law, lower jail time for inmates with non-violent and drug-related charges, and decriminalize drug addiction. Dakota Vaughn is not a broken promise or just-to-get-elected type of candidate. With your help and support, we will bring real and positive change to California. Please contact us with any questions or comments, and as always, thank you for joining us in our fight.
